Struggling Father desirous to see his Son - 9

My Dearest Beta Shanu,

Are you going to school? Are you having apple daily? I want to talk to you and play with you, and one day with God’s grace we will be united.

Today I will tell you a story of a lion and jackal. Below is the story:

Once upon a time a lion and jackal became good friends. Lion use to hunt the prey and jackal use to help lion in finding the prey. Jackal use to hide in the bushes, and when a prey use to pass he will repeat “Hello, Hello I’m the greatest”. The Lion will pounce upon the animal on hearing this and both of them will have a nice meal. The jackal thus enjoyed his days as he had to do very little to earn a livelihood. He grew fatter and fatter day by day. Eventually he became haughty and conceited. One day the jackal thought, “I wonder how lion is able to kill animals so easily. I’m sure it’s the magic of the words which I speak before lion hunts. Now even I’m as strong and fierce as the lion. If lion utters the “Hello, Hello I’m the greatest” I will be able to hunt as easily and successfully. Thus the jackal went to lion and told him that he will hunt the prey from now onwards. The lion was surprised at this. He said gently “friend! I’m stronger than you so I should hunt. I have sharp claws to pin down the prey and hunt. Let’s not exchange our roles.” The jackal retorted, lion! you don’t understand there is magic in these words which I speak and if you chant when I prey then I can catch a prey no matter how big it is. In the end lion has to agree with jackal. Next an elephant was passing by the bush. Lion immediately chanted “Hello, Hello I’m the greatest”. As soon as jackal heard the words he pounced on the elephant. The angry elephant trumpeted and then grabbing the jackal in his long trunk, threw him far and high. The jackal broke his bone by falling on the ground. He has learnt a hard lesson for being vain. HA! HA! HA!
