My Dearest Beta Shanu,

As promised in my letter yesterday, I’m sending you lot of pictures of Tom & Jerry and Bhagat Singhji along with my regular pictures of alphabets. Today we will be in our last letter related to journey of alphabets as we will be covering last alphabets left of English Y and Z. Though both us are not allowed to be present at the same place but I still hope and pray that my letters have and are reaching and getting narrated to you. With the end of this journey we have to start a new and better journey which we will surely do and it will be more informative, fun-filled and educative. Hope it could have been more interactive, anyway you are the smartest and brightest person I have met so we sure will overcome this constraint also. And we will joined soon by the grace and power of almighty.

Today I will narrate you a small story from the lessons of Swami Vivekananda. Vivekanandaji is one the most admired leaders, philosopher and saint of India. This is a story of one his visits to USA. Dearest beta here is the story:

Swami Vivekananda was visiting USA. One day he was walking thru the streets of Chicago (Chicago is one of the largest cities in USA); a woman stopped him and started passing rude remarks over saint’s spare dress and crude physical appearance. Swamiji did not utter a single word.

A few more persons joined the old woman. All of them cut jokes with him and went on giggling and calling him names.

One of them said, “Look at his uncivilized dress”. “He could well roam stark naked, “remarked another.

“He must be from the savage land, say India”, said the third.

During all this mad show of superiority, Swamiji kept quite. He simply smiled, blessed them and went on his way. When he had gone scores of steps ahead, he was stopped by an gentleman.

“Well Sir, why didn’t you retaliate? They called you names and insulted you. You must have given them bit of your mind. Don’t you think so?” Asked he.

“No, Sir, my attitude is different. They did not rebuke me. They simply scoffed at my physical body. I’m not in this physical body, the real I, I’m different which they are not able to touch.”

And he walked on.

HA! HA! HA!

Ok, now here is our regular story from panchtantra, this is a story of the king elephant and mice. Below is the story:

One hot summer, all the rivers in the forest ran dry. The king elephant of the herd of elephants was worried. He thought, “If I don’t find some water soon, we will all die.” Suddenly, one of his retinue lumbered up to him. He told the king elephant, that a bird has told him that there is a lake in the east direction which has ample of water for all of us. The king elephant was relieved, he gave orders and the march began. Soon they reached the lake and were very happy to see lots of water. Elephants charged towards the water trampling everything which came in their way. Among the victims, there were lots of mice who had burrowed a colony near the lake. The mice which were left ran together to a safe place and held a meeting. The king mice went to the king elephant and requested him, “O King, we have been living near the lake for generations, while your herd came charging this way, it trampled to death half of our clan. We beg of you to have mercy on us and find some other path to and from the lake. Spare our lives. Small though we are, some day we may prove useful to you.” The king elephant thought how these tiny mice will ever be of help to him or his herd, but anyway since he was kind hearted, he promised that his herd will not bother them any more. As king elephant watched the grateful, happy mice scamper away, little did the king realized, how soon he will need them. Just 5 days after, while the king elephant was taking the bath he got caught in the trap laid by trappers. Trapper caught the elephant and tied him to a tree. All his legs were tied with strong ropes. The mice saw the plight of the king elephant and came to his rescue. All the mice with their sharp teeth cut the ropes of the elephant and freed him. Elephant thanked the mice and was grateful to them. HA! HA! HA!
