Struggling Father desirous to see his Son - 40

My Dearest Beta Shanu,

How are you beta? As the days of separation between you and me are increasing day by day. The sense of your virtual presence with me is increasing and converging with my thought process. I have my periods of pain but will always wish and pray that you are fine, happy and my prayers are reaching you. I believe my meditation and prayers will always protect you wherever you are, and I will continue to trust and hope for peace and unity with you. Today I’m feeling little better and have recovered to a large extent from my illness. So will start working on the book and collections for you, beta. The flashbacks of our time together provide me hope and oxygen and direction. Dearest son enhance your creativity and never curb the essence of your thoughts, let it flow.

Today I have taken a story from Fables stories collection. This is the story of owl and grasshopper. Enjoy the story and have a merry time.

It was a cold winter morning. The woods were full of snow. Everything was white. All the birds and animals were sleeping in their homes. They were sleeping because it was bitterly cold outside and there was no food available.

But there was one creature that didn’t sleep. This was the grasshopper. He was a very noisy insect and he was very bored because everyone else was sound asleep. He decided to go out and see what was happening. When he came out, he saw that the whole forest was white. It looked so beautiful that the grasshopper felt like singing. He hopped about from one place to another till he was on a very big tree. He started singing loudly, rubbing his legs together in tune with his song.

In the trunk of this tree lived an owl. The owl had been sleeping all these days. The noisy singing of the grasshopper woke him up. “Who is this noisy creature disturbing my winter sleep,” said to the owl to herself.

He peeped out of the hole. And there, sitting on the branch was the grasshopper merrily singing away. The owl was angry that his sleep had been disturbed. Waking up so suddenly on a winter morning also made him feel very hungry. He silently went up to the singing grasshopper and caught the foolish insect in his beak and ate him up.

The owl then went back into his hole and slept peacefully for the rest of the winter.

HA! HA! HA!
