Struggling Father desirous to see his Son - 33
My Dearest Beta Shanu,
Today is holi. My letters, poems and stories may have been read to you. I celebrated holi with you and my God. Both of us were wearing white clothes and Gods showered the colors of faith, love and compassion on us. One day we will play certainly play holi together physically and distribute the same colors on any one who comes in contact. Did you smell the air today; it was filled with sweet scent of forgiveness and droplets of forgetfulness. You know son, strange thing is everyone washes their clothes and rub their skin to wash dust and spots but very few realize to cleanse their souls with the water of truth so that their true self and spirituality glows and shadows of doubt and sadness disappears. So today after my meditation I visualized you and applied Gulal on your face and then did a tilak on your forehead. You were glowing and your energy spread thru infiniteness and then merged with my spiritual energy. And then there were brightness and sacred rainbow all over place. Birds, animals and us we all offered our prayers and then on the bank of river ganga there were sound of sacred bells and we had our food. I took some gujiya in my hand and offered it God and you. You enjoyed it and the contentment on your face and smile on Lord’s face overwhelmed me. My tears touched Lords feet and merged with mother ganga and took them to nature. Suddenly I felt that my shoulders felt a little heaviness and it virtualized as if you are sitting on them and tell me “Papa, papa lets run! lets run! …” and I ran, I ran and ran and ran and … and the sound of “Om” surrounding me took me out of the spiritual experience and since I’m human I got up from my mediation, prayering and hoping that one day this will be true, I think, I feel, I know, I hope and I pray! my angel!.
Continuing on our storytelling journey, here is today’s stooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Beta today’s story is taken from the famous folk tales of fables. This is story of a Hare and tortoise. Enjoy!
“
Once upon a time there lived a hare in a jungle. Hare was very proud of himself as he could run very fast.
One day he saw a tortoise that was crawling very slowly. On seeing the huge shell on tortoise’s back hare asked, “ Hey, tortoise don’t you feel tired carrying this huge shell on your back, this surely slows you down and doesn’t it makes you lazy”. Tortoise replied, “No hare, this is for my protection.” At this the hare started laughing and making fun of tortoise. Tortoise felt very bad and thought he can challenge hare for a race.
“Why don’t we have a race”, challenged tortoise to hare. Hare laughed and laughed and asked tortoise, ”Are your serious, do you want to race with me. Do you think you win the race by running against me? Do you?” The proud hare told tortoise he is ready to race with him anytime.
Tortoise agreed, “Let’s keep the race for tomorrow. We will start in the morning and fox will be the referee. He will decide the length of the race”
Next day all the animals of the jungle came to the edge of the jungle. Fox fixed the length and route of the race. Then half of the animals returned to the end point of the race and half settled at the starting point.
At the starting point, both hare and tortoise were called. Then fox said, ”Ready, steady, goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo”
Tortoise started crawling slowing. Hare laughed at him and swiftly ran towards the finish point, after running quite a distance hare saw the distant finishing point. He thought may be he should eat some carrots and take few minutes of rest as he was sure that the tortoise will not be able to finish the race. And so hare went to take rest and being tired he was soon sleeping.
Meanwhile tortoise continuously and consistently crawled the long distance and came across the sleeping hare. He crawled past him and ultimately reached his destination of finish line before hare.
The fox woke the hare, ”Wake up you arrogant fellow, the tortoise has already finished the race.”
Hare quickly ran and reached the finish line. There he saw tortoise and all the other animals of jungle. Hare was humbled and decided not be arrogant again.
HA! HA! HA!

May my prayers reach you on this auspicious occasion of love. May vasudhaiv kutumbakam spread within ourselves. I pray that God give you the toughness from outside and softness within similar to the turtle that sits in front of Lord Shiva and is even sacred and respected by Lord himself. On today’s holy day may all your dreams be fulfilled and Lord bless you with strength, wisdom, education and love. I will pray and be with you always my son in a hope to see you someday when the dawn of hope, soaked in the sacred light of truth and in an atmosphere of honesty with moonlight of humility will prevail. I hope and I know son.
Om!
Your Father
